The fastest a round trip from Kyiv could ever be: light in fibre covers about 200 km per millisecond, over the straight-line distance. Real routes are longer and add equipment, so expect more. We only suggest another location when it saves at least 10 ms, and some neighbouring countries don’t connect directly, so a closer location can still be slower. Hourly billing makes it cheap to test both.
Know this before you deploy
Ukraine is at war. The UN Human Rights Office documented at least 423 attacks on electricity infrastructure between December 2025 and May 2026, causing emergency power cuts affecting millions of people. Service here may be disrupted. Keep backups in another country.
