Turn on two-factor sign-in

Protect your LiteKeep account with an authenticator app: set it up from a QR code, save your 10 recovery codes, sign in with a 6-digit code, and turn it off if you need to.

Last updated 27 October 2026

On your Account page press Turn on two-factor, scan the QR code with an authenticator app and enter the 6-digit code it shows. You then get 10 single-use recovery codes, shown once: save them, because they are your way in if you lose the phone.

Set it up

  1. Install an authenticator app on your phone, any app that supports time-based codes.
  2. In the console open Account and press Turn on two-factor.
  3. Scan the QR code, then type the 6-digit code from the app to confirm.
  4. Save the 10 recovery codes: use Download .txt and keep the file somewhere other than your phone.

Signing in with it

After your password, enter the current 6-digit code, or one of your recovery codes. Each recovery code works once. You have 10 minutes to finish this step.

Turning it off

From Manage two-factor, enter your password and a current code. We recommend keeping it on: your account holds your balance and your servers.

If something goes wrong

  • Codes are rejected: the time on your phone is probably off. Turn on automatic time in its settings and try again.
  • New or lost phone: sign in with a recovery code, then turn two-factor off and on again to set up the new phone. That also gives you 10 fresh recovery codes.
  • Running low on recovery codes: the page shows how many are left. Turning two-factor off and on again issues a new set.
