Billing
Keep (yearly) and Forever Keep plans
How LiteKeep’s prepaid plans work: a Keep is paid a year ahead and renews from your balance; a Forever Keep is paid once. Renewal, fallback to hourly, add-ons and refunds.
Last updated 27 October 2026
A Keep pays for a server a year ahead, for less than twelve months of hourly billing. A Forever Keep is paid once, with no renewals. Both are charged from your balance when the server is ready, and add-ons such as a Windows licence still bill by the hour.
Keep: a year ahead
- Choose it at deploy: on the Lite plans, tick Pay for a year (Keep) and get months free.
- We email you 7 days before the year ends.
- At the end of the year it renews from your balance. If the balance is short, the server keeps running and switches to hourly billing, so nothing goes offline.
Forever Keep: paid once
- Choose the Forever Keep tab at the plan step.
- One payment, no renewals. Add-ons bill from your balance.
- If its location ever closes, we move it to another country for free.
Promo codes
Codes for a Keep or Forever Keep go in the Promo code box on the deploy review, not in Add funds.
Changing your mind
A Keep or Forever Keep can be cancelled for the full price within 14 days of buying it. After that the prepaid time isn’t refunded. See the refund policy, and our honest take on whether a lifetime VPS is worth it.
If a renewal did not happen
If your balance was short on the renewal date, the server switched to hourly billing and kept running. Add funds to cover the hours. To get a yearly price again, deploy a new server as a Keep and move across.
