Billing

Receipts, monthly statements and VAT

Where to find LiteKeep deposit receipts and monthly statements, how to save them as PDF, and when VAT applies: EU consumers, EU businesses with a VAT number, and everyone else.

Last updated 27 October 2026

Every credited deposit has a receipt, and every month with charges has a statement listing net, VAT and total. Both are on Billing and print or save as PDF. VAT is charged only to EU consumers, at their country’s standard rate; EU businesses with a valid VAT number are reverse-charged.

Deposit receipts

Open a credited invoice from Invoices on Billing for its receipt. It shows the date, the coin you paid with, a ledger reference and the amount credited, as prepaid credit for LiteKeep services. A receipt records a payment; it is not a tax invoice. Use Print or save as PDF to keep a copy.

Monthly statements

Under Monthly statements, each month lists what you were charged: date, what it was for, net, VAT and total. This is the document to use for your accounts. It appears once you have a month with charges.

When VAT applies

You areVAT on charges
A consumer in an EU countryYour country’s standard VAT rate, on each charge from your balance
An EU business with a VAT number checked in VIESNone: reverse charge, you account for it
Outside the EUNone

Set your tax details

Your country is set at sign-up. Change it, or add an EU VAT number, under Tax details on your Account page; the VAT number field appears when your country is in the EU. VAT is worked out on charges, not deposits, and bonus credit carries none.

If something looks wrong

  • You need a tax document: use the monthly statement, which shows net, VAT and total per charge. A receipt only records a payment.
  • VAT is charged although you are a business: add your VAT number under Tax details. It must be confirmed in VIES before the reverse charge applies.
  • Wrong country: correct it under Tax details; it applies to charges from then on.
