Getting started
Create an account and confirm your email
What signing up for LiteKeep asks for (an email, a password and your country), the password rules, and why you confirm your email before your first deploy.
Last updated 27 October 2026
Sign up with an email address, a password and your country. No name, phone number or ID. We email you a link to confirm the address: you can add funds before confirming, but you need a confirmed email to deploy a server.
What the sign-up form asks
- Go to Create account.
- Enter your email and a password, and pick your country. The country decides whether VAT applies to you (see receipts and VAT).
- Tick the box to accept the terms and the acceptable use policy, then press Create account.
Accounts can’t be opened from Cuba, Iran or North Korea.
Password rules
- At least 12 characters, up to 256.
- Not built on a common or leaked password, or a keyboard run such as qwerty.
- Not just a few characters repeated, and not containing the part of your email before the @.
Confirm your email
We send a confirmation link as soon as you sign up. It works for 24 hours. Opening it shows a page with a button: press it to confirm. If the email doesn’t arrive, check spam, then use Resend the link in the console.
Until your email is confirmed, your Account page says so. You can add funds in the meantime, but deploying is refused until you confirm.
Signing in
Sign in with your email and password. If you turned on two-factor, you then enter a 6-digit code. After 5 wrong passwords in a row, sign-in for that account pauses for 15 minutes. Forgot the password? Use Forgot your password? on the sign-in page.
If something goes wrong
- No confirmation email: check spam and promotions folders, then press Resend the link. Each link works for 24 hours, so an old one may have expired.
- The email already has an account: the form won’t say so, to protect that account. Instead we email that address a sign-in link and a password reset link.
- Password refused: it broke one of the rules above. A long phrase of unrelated words is the easiest strong password to remember.
- Sign-in paused: too many wrong passwords. Wait 15 minutes, or reset the password.
